Hi everyone! My name is Worth and I am a junior in high school living in San Francisco. I am a major foodie, health enthusiast, and wellness lover. Even though I am only 16 years old (almost 17!), I have already found my calling – well, sort of! I have found my passion for fueling my body with healthy, wholesome foods made with REAL ingredients.
I am certainly not your average teenager. My ideal Friday night does not consist of going to a crazy party and drinking beer… more like walking to Whole Foods (yes, I am lucky enough to live ONLY 5 BLOCKS away) just to browse the aisles and find a new yummy product or coming out of either a SoulCycle or Barry’s Bootcamp class drenched in sweat! All of that followed by doing a homemade face mask, eating a homemade treat, and watching Gossip Girl (I am very aware how old this show is by now, but I don’t care. I love it and will probably watch it until the day I die – no joke) is my quintessential Friday night.
Now onto the yummy stuff, my favorite things to cook! From simple roasted veggies to treats and goodies made with REAL ingredients, (a.k.a. ingredients that you are actually able to pronounce and understand) I love it all. Almond flour chocolate chip cookies, sautéed broccolini, a good old grass-fed steak, avocado with pink salt… gimmie it all! I eat foods that make ME feel good, satisfied, and nourished.
I am also not one to believe in diets. However, I do believe in fueling your body with what makes YOU feel good. If gluten makes you feel bloated, most likely you will steer away from it. But if gluten doesn’t bother you, there is no need to avoid it! Having a fear of certain foods for no reason is not a part of living a healthy lifestyle. Sometimes a recipe I make will be “paleo,” sometimes not. One recipe might be vegan and the next day I might be making a frittata! While here, you will find recipes made with ingredients that I enjoy and make me feel good.
So with all of that said, I am a major supporter of the real food lifestyle. We all have to love, take care of, and cultivate an environment where our bodies can flourish and be our best selves, which I know can be reached through healthy food, constant actions of self-care, and most importantly, SELF LOVE.
